B. David Massaband, DPM, FACFASAlexander Carrillo-Kashani, DPM is a podiatric physician and surgeon at Tower Podiatry, The Foot & Ankle Surgical Institute, dedicated to helping patients restore mobility, relieve pain, and return to the activities they love.

Dr. Carrillo-Kashani earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Riverside, and his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the College of Podiatric Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences. He completed his surgical residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he continues to serve as an attending podiatrist.

His clinical expertise includes diabetic wound care, limb salvage, pediatric orthopedics, bunion and hammertoe correction, sports medicine, and routine foot care. Drawing on both surgical and non-surgical approaches, he develops personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals and lifestyle.

Dr. Carrillo-Kashani is an active contributor to podiatric medicine beyond the clinic. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications — including work in the Journal of Orthopedic Reports and the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery — presented research at national conferences, and continues to pursue ongoing scholarly work. He is committed to advancing the field and bringing the latest evidence-based techniques to his patients.

Of Mexican and Persian heritage, Dr. Carrillo-Kashani holds a deep personal commitment to serving the Latino and Iranian communities. He welcomes patients who value being cared for by a physician who understands their cultural background and experience.
