B. David Massaband, DPM, FACFAS
Dr. B. David Massaband, DPM, is the Director of Tower Podiatry and The Foot and Ankle Surgical Institute at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Towers. Dr. Massaband is currently also an attending podiatric surgeon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Massaband has been practicing in the Los Angeles area for over 17 years, specializing in complex foot and ankle surgery and in diabetic foot and wound care. Dr. Massaband's other clinical interests include reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, pediatric orthopedics, bunions, hammertoes, cosmetic foot surgery, sports medicine and injuries, and limb salvage.
While on staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Massaband has been active within his department, by being involved in the education process of new podiatry residents and sharing with them, his valuable knowledge and expertise gained throughout his years of practicing Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Massaband is also a frequent and admired speaker at community events held by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, UCLA, USC, and the NYLF (National Youth Leadership Forum), etc.
Dr. Massaband was previously an attending consultant at the V.A. Loma Linda Medical Center, where he also completed his residency in foot and ankle surgery and podiatric medicine. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the California College of Podiatric Medicine, an affiliate of the UCSF Medical School, and his Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from the University of California Los Angeles.
Arash Hassid, DPM, AACFAS
Dr. Arash Hassid is a podiatric foot and ankle specialist. He is an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and Member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Hassid completed a three year comprehensive foot and ankle surgical residency at the Veterans Administration Program, West Los Angeles and UCLA, Olive View Medical Center. Prior to his residency program, he completed his medical studies at the California School of Podiatric Medicine, Samuel Merritt College.
Dr. Hassid has conducted research on multiple imaging modalities to predict risk of ulceration in diabetics and prevent future amputations. In addition to his private practice in Los Angeles, he is also currently working with a state-of-the-art wound care facility at the Palmdale Regional Medical Center utilizing the latest wound care products and Hyperbaric Chambers. Dr. Hassid is interested in full spectrum foot and ankle practice with emphasis on forefoot and hindfoot reconstructive surgery.
Albemar Espiritu, DPM
Dr. Albemar Espiritu is an associate of Tower Podiatry, a Foot and Ankle Surgical Institute at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Towers. He currently serves as an attending podiatric surgeon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Additionally, Dr Espiritu is board qualified in foot and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
It is from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a well-renowned medical institution, where he completed his podiatric surgical training. His intensive training includes reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, orthopedic/general trauma, pediatric orthopedics, diabetic limb salvage, and wound care.
His premedical training was accomplished at the University of California San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. He then received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine with honors from the Dr William M Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, an affiliate of the Rosalind Franklin University/Chicago Medical School.
